Drawing from experience gained during the 2008 financial crisis, when many homes were foreclosed and their pools abandoned and neglected, Ion Pools can get almost any pool Green-to-Clean. We specialize in 'no-drain' situations like the pool showcased below, directly adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. Unable to pump the water into the canal due to environmental concerns, Ion Pools utilized a filtering and treatment process to remove the algae and restore the pool to crystal clear condition.
In addition to the obvious green algae growing in the pool, the plaster surface of the pool was heavily colonized by 'Black Algae' that was not visible until the green algae was removed. The initial Green-to-Clean process took 9 days; however, several more weeks of treatment was required to kill the 'Black Algae'. Black Algae is actually a type of bacteria and not a true 'plant' like green and yellow algae.
